In my classes I am a proponent of the communicative method. All of the resources I use focus on how to get the student talking in a "fun" way. It could be a 3-year-old child or a serious businessman. Below I have made a selection of sites without which this would not be feasible. Here you can sing in a foreign language with benefit, find slang words from the latest episode of a sitcom, cool selections of online games in English for kids, and more.

I switched to British Council for kids from Activity Village because Activity Village requires a paid subscription to download most of the files. On British Council for Kids, you can download handouts for free.

To memorize words, I use Quizlet with students, the student can make a set of cards himself, but the control of the teacher is still needed. This indispensable resource always saves me when reading an ordinary article, and when preparing for the exam, so that not a single word is not forgotten. Plus, the words are memorized in the form of a game of "Gravity," for example.

To teach students slang words and to be "on-trend," my "board book" is Urban Dictionary. It is an online dictionary for slang expressions and words, which has a permanent "word of the day" section, as well as a search for phrases from everyone's favorites How I met your mother and Friends.

I often use the Activity Village resource when working with children. Working with young minds is the greatest pleasure. They are positive and energize you for the whole day. But children do require special lesson preparation. You can find helpful handouts on any topic. Unfortunately, most files now require a paid subscription to download, so more and more often I turn to the British Council for kids.

Great for listening and fun language learning. Once I found a music-loving student who wanted to learn English only on the basis of songs. In this case I used Lyricstraining. It is convenient to choose the level from Beginner to Expert, and in parallel with the video fill in the blanks with the heard words.

Teach This is a resource you can't create a cool lesson without. There you can find interactive tasks and games that will engage all students during the lesson. Also on the site you can find useful explanations of the difference between Present Perfect and Past Simple, not in a diagram, but through a story about a journey, for example.
